About me

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Kalya, a digital researcher at King's College London. I studied at UCL, where I completed a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction (and somehow made the Dean's List while juggling way too many side projects). Growing up across three countries gave me a deep cultural curiosity and a strong appreciation for diverse ways of thinking. These are qualities I carry into every design decision I make.

I'm someone who loves getting stuck into a problem, understanding people’s experiences, and designing thoughtful, accessible solutions that make a difference. At the core of everything I do is curiosity and empathy; I love learning new tools, picking things up fast, and working with people who care.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me testing new one-pot recipes, watching A24 films, or getting lost in a book I meant to "put down an hour ago."
